A note from the Director:
All-District Band is being held February 4th - 6th at Princess Anne High School. The concert will be on Saturday, Feb. 6th at 5:00 pm. We hope many of you will join us at Princess Anne High School for this concert and support our students.
Our pre-festival concert is on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the KHS auditorium. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm. Students should arrive dressed no later than 6:15 pm. Please bring friends and family!
Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association District II Concert Band Festival will be on March 12-13. I will let each band know the day and time of their performance. This involves our Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band.
BAND BOOSTERS
The Band Booster organization is the backbone of any successful band program. All parents are invited to support the band through volunteering your time and talents. The Band Parent Association assists the director and the students through activities such as attending monthly meetings, chaperoning, working at the Kempsville Classic and concession stands at football games, fund raising, etc. All students and parents/guardians are expected to participate in fund raising activities. A complete list of officers is available at our website www.thekempsvilleband.com. Please contact them to offer your assistance. Also, parents are invited to attend the Band Parent Association general meetings which are scheduled for the second Monday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the KHS band room. Below is a list of our general meetings.

Also, I would like to remind all students and parents of our BAND SCHEDULE for the 2009-2010 school year. Performance times for each marching band competition will be announced at least one week prior to each event. All concerts will begin at 7:00 pm.
