Marching Band Uniform Care
Jackets:
All jackets are machine washable, DO NOT USE oxyclean or any bleach items. Soiled collars can be pre-treated. Wash on delicate cycle in cold water. The jackets can be hung to dry or dried on a low heat setting.
Bib Pants:
The black bib pants are machine washable and should be washed in the gentle cycle with cold water. Use only NON-CHLORINE detergent. Dry on low heat setting. Use a pressing cloth (clean pillow case, etc.) when ironing is necessary to keep pants from getting "shiny".
Gauntlets:
Gauntlets may be washed as needed on the gentle cycle and put in the dryer. Make sure to hook Velcro closures together before washing gauntlets.
Gloves:
Gloves must be cleaned each week. Use bleach if necessary.
*Please routinely check uniform. Clean and repair as needed.
*Never store a garment damp or wet from either water or perspiration. Allow item to dry completely before placing in bag.
*Perfume or hair spray should not be sprayed on or next to garment. The residue from these items will cause a build up on the fabric.
Please wear the band t-shirt and boxers (or shorts) under the band uniform.
Students must wear black crew socks that cover the ankle completely.
