Thank you for joining us for our 18th annual Kempsville Classic Band Competition.  This event started 18 years ago as a fundraising event for the band and has become a tradition for the band and has grown throughout the years.  This year we will have 12 bands from the surrounding areas, including and exhibition by the Kempsville Marching Chiefs and we proudly welcome the Christopher Newport University Marching Captains who will perform and exhibition just before our awards ceremony.  This is a United States Scholastic Band Association competition and thus will be judged by a wonderful panel of judges who travel around the country judging band competitions.

We are pleased to offer many food selections at reasonable prices from our concession stands, as well as bake  sale items, souvenirs, buttons, programs and this year we are also offering the opportunity to purchase official USSBA merchandise.

Tickets are $10.00 for an adult, $5.00 for children 5 and up and children 5 and under are free.  We also will have a ticket plus program special!

We hope that you will enjoy your day and come out and support not only our Kempsville Marching Chiefs, but all of the bands who will join us for this annual tradition. Saturday's performance schedule can be viewed & downloaded - see below.

find a Trophy Sponsorship form that you can use to take around to various businesses, family, and friends and ask for their support.  If you or a business donates a trophy, the person or business will have their name announced during the competition. You can also sponsor one (or more) yourself!  Please let me know if you have any questions.  We will need these back as soon as possible so we can order the trophies order.
